NATIONAL PARK LOW TATRAS

The National Park Low Tatras (NAPANT) is the most extensive Slovak national park, stretching in Central Slovakia. Its biggest attractions are numerous karst phenomena with several caves. You can walk on several hundreds of kilometres of tourist and educational paths in the most beautiful valleys. We will take you to a ridge with a view of the whole Slovakia with two cableways, and there you can choose various hiking trips or try Nordic Walking with an instructor.

Demänovská valley is the best known and most beautiful valley of the Low Tatras. It is 15 km long and is the main centre of tourism north from the main ridge.

Jasná was originally the name of mountain parts of the Demänovská valley and other parts of the valley were added to it progressively (surroundings of Vrbické tarn, Záhradky). It lies in the protected area of the National Park Low Tatras.

FLORA AND FAUNA OF THE LOW TATRAS

Fairy Thimble Bellflower, Clusius Gentian, Edelweiss, Micheli´s Daisy, Brown Bear, Eurasian Lynx, Grey Wolf, Tatra Marmot or the placed Tatra Chamois are the best known treasures of the Low Tatras.

CULTURAL MONUMENTS IN THE NEIGHBOURHOOD

The neighbourhood of the Low Tatras is rich in historical and cultural monuments, such as castle and manor house Liptovský Hrádok, castle Likava, Liptovský castle, historical centre of the village of Hybe and churches – wooden articular church in the village of Svätý Kríž, Church of All Saints Ludrová, Church of All Saints and Evangelical Church in Hybe.

OPEN-AIR MUSEUMS

The region of Liptov has a rich history and thus there are several open-air museums in its territory – Celtic museum Havránok near the dam Liptovská Mara, Museum of Liptovská village Pribylina, Farmhouse Vlkolínec, Mlyny – Oblazy – complex of water mills near the village of Huty.

You will learn more about the historical past of Liptov in several museums and galleries.

NATIONAL PARKS IN THE NEIGHBOURHOOD

There are other four national parks within the reach of 50 km from the hotel which are worth exploring: Pieniny, Slovak Paradise, High Tatras and National Park High Tatras - Poland.

NATURAL BEAUTIES

In Slovakia, there are more than 5000 caves and 1500 thermal springs. Accessible, max. 1-hour drive from our hotel, there are Belianska cave, Dobšinská ice cave, Važecká cave, Demänovská ice cave, Demänovská cave of Freedom.

SKIING IN THE TATRAS

Resorts in the High and Low Tatras offer more than 50 km of ski slopes, modern infrastructure, network of restaurants, sport equipment rental and ski school. The biggest of them is the resort in Jasná, only a few metres from our hotel.

THERMAL AQUAPARKS

In close neighbourhood of our hotel, there are 5 thermal aquaparks that can be used all-day and in the evenings: Tatralandia in Liptovský Mikuláš, Aquacity Poprad, Bešeňová, Vyšné Ružbachy and Vrbov.
